Day 01 Singapore – Malacca (Recommended hotel: Puri Hotel Jonkers’ Street)
8am Meet and greet at Singapore hotel lobby and after Johore Bahru Immigration clearance, you will be whisked away to Malacca – a UNESCO Heritage city. Visit St Paul’s Hill, the A Famosa and then take a trishaw ride into Jonkers’ Street – the street of antiquities and souvenirs. Peranakan Lunch. Check in to hotel. Free and easy. You may revisit Jonkers’ Street at night.
Day 02Â Malacca – Kuala Lumpur (Recommended hotel: Traders KLCC)
8am Depart for Kuala Lumpur a tin mining settlement with diverse cultures as in Malay, Chinese and Indian. Visit the iconic Batu Caves. Climb 272 steps into temple of Hindu deity honored during festivals. Devotees give thanks for vows fulfilled. Ladies to cover knees and shoulders. Visit Independent square with colonial landmarks depicting British excellence in architectural designs. Sultan Abdul Samad Building, St Mary’s Cathedral, Jamek Mosque, Old Railway Station, National Mosque, colorful Little India and bustling Chinatown. Complimentary Banana Leaf Lunch – eat with fingers. 5pm Depart for Kuala Selangor – home to the largest fireflies colony in the world. Meet the adorable silver leaf monkeys and frollick with them. Adjourn to the riverside restaurant for a fresh seafood dinner. Catch a boat to watch fireflies at their dazzling best indulging in a mating ritual. Its fascinating !!! Return to hotel by 10 pm
Day 03 Kuala Lumpur – Taman Negara 1st Day (Recommended hotel: Xcape resort)
8am Depart for Taman Negara – a 130 million years old tropical rainforest with endangered tigers, elephants, tapirs, deer… 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species… Enroute visit Elephant Sanctuary to feed and pet the adorable giants. Proceed to Taman Negara and on arrival at Kuala Tahan, Local lunch on Floating Cafe. Join Nature Guide rapids shooting by boat to an aborigine village to watch fire making and blowpipe demonstration the native way. Nature Guide then takes you trekking to a rainforest waterfalls for a cool dip – a therapeutic stress reliever. 8pm Join Nature Guide for the Night Jungle walk to spot mouse deer, wild boar, snakes, etc and watch them come for their salt intake. Bring torch light with extra batteries.
Day 04 Taman Negara 2nd DayÂ
8am Join Nature Guide to trek up to the viewpoint to catch a glimpse of Malaysia’s highest mountain – Gunung Tahan @ 7175 feet (2187 meters) in height. Nature Guide will belt out facts and taboos of Taman Negara. Also about medicinal and poisonous plants, not forgetting the elusive aphrodisiacs Return to hotel. Free and easy.
8pm Join Nature Guide for the Night River Cruise. Look out for mouse deer, panthers, wild boar etc come for their water intake. Enjoy the night ambience seated on a boat in an ancient rainforest… A very rare encounter indeed!!!
Day 05 Taman Negara – Cameron Highlands (Recommended hotel: Camerons Resort)
8am Depart for the Cameron Highlands – a hill resort with large tea plantations, farmlands and aborigines. Take a buggy ride @ Plantations and sip tea perched on an elevated tea cafe and catch glimpses of the rolling greenery below. Photo shoots. Visit the butterfly farm to see live smaller animals and stick insects, beetles. Take a stroll through the Vegetable market to see fruits, flowers from Camerons. Check in to hotel. Free and easy .
7pm Dinner is HOT POT – a popular local meal augurs well for the cool weather.
Day 06 Cameron Highlands – Penang Island (Recommended hotel: Golden Sands)
8am Depart for Penang Island, enroute bonus stop Orangutan Island (subject to availability). At Penang visit Fort Cornwallis, Clan Jetties, Sleeping Buddha and drive through Georgetown – UNESCO Heritage City. Lunch at a Food Court with diverse variety of food. A concoction of tastes. Drop off at your hotel. Free and easy.
