Day 01 Perhentian/Redang Jetty – Taman Negara (Recommended hotel: Mutiara Resort)
11am Our driver/guide will greet you at the Kuala Besut Jetty (Perhentian/Redang/Lang Tengah) and depart for Taman Negara – 5 hours drive time. Along the way he will make stops for refreshments. Late arrival into Taman Negara . Check in and enjoy the jungle ambience. Free and easy.
8pm Join Nature Guide for the Night Jungle walk and spot panthers, mouse deer, civet cats, owls etc.. Your torch should have extra batteries. Return to hotel.
Day 02 Taman Negara 2nd Day
8am Follow Nature Guide to trek up to viewpoint for a breathtaking view of Gunung Tahan – Malaysia’s highest mountain @ 7175 feet (2187 meters). Catch a boat to shoot the rapids (gushing waters) to an aborigine village to watch fire making and blowpipe demonstration the native way. You can partake of the activities. The rainforest is their supermarket. Soon the villages would be no more due to rehabilitation and deforestation. Nature Guide will belt out facts and taboos of Taman Negara as he leads you to a mesmerizing rainforest waterfalls for a cool dip – a therapeutic stress reliever, Complimentary local lunch @ Floating Cafe. Return to hotel. Free and easy.
8pm Join Nature Guide for the Night River Cruise to look for snakes, spiders, mouse deer, slow loris…. and nocturnal animals at the salt lick. Enjoy the Night ambience seated in a boat deep in a rainforest. A very rare encounter indeed !!! Return to hotel.
Day 03 Taman Negara – Cameron Highlands (Recommended hotel : Camerons Resort)
7am Depart for Cameron Highlands- a hill resort with cool temperatures and large tea plantations. Buggy ride @ plantations. Sip tea perched on an elevated tea café and catch a glimpse of the rolling greenery below. Photo shoots. Butterfly farm – secret paradise of live scorpions, spiders, stick insects, snakes, butterflies. Vegetable market -The cool climate augurs well for vegetables, fruits and flowers. Also visit Cactus Gardens. Check in to hotel. Free and easy.
7pm Dinner is the popular HOT POT – augurs well for the cool weather. Bring sweaters as nights are cold.
Day 04 Cameron Highlands – Penang Island (Recommended hotel: Golden Sands resort)
8am Depart for Penang Island enroute bonus stop at the Orangutan Island (subject to availability). On arrival at Penang Island drive through Georgetown – capital city and UNESCO listed heritage city with colonial landmarks. Visit Clan Jetty, Sleeping Buddha, Fort Cornwallis, Little India. Lunch at a Food Court – diverse display of various local dishes to choose from.
Batu Feringghi is the happening seafront in Penang with luxury international hotels, water sports, night markets and various restaurants. At night Batu Feringghi is a hive of activities. You will be dropped off at your hotel. End of tour.
