Our itinerary

0700hrs  After breakfast depart for Taman Negara, enroute visit the famous Batu Caves and climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu Deity Lord Subramaniam who is honored during the Hindu festival of Thaipusam every year. Ladies to be properly attired to enter the temple. 

On arrival at Taman Negara, walk up the Canopy walkway for a bird’s eye view of the oldest rainforest.  (Note: Canopy walkway closed Thursdays to give trees a rest).  Please make your bookings accordingly.

Packed snacks at the rainforest. Continue on with rapids shooting – the boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids and you will get a chance to get “wet”. On arrival at the Aborigine Village you will be given a demonstration on fire making skills and blowpipe hunting  techniques. The rainforest is their supermarket. The Nature guide will belt out facts about Taman Negara .  You may ask him questions about the jungle. A hint – ask him about the  taboos of the jungle.  We will reach a mesmerizing Rainforest Waterfalls for a cool dip. Return to hotel to freshen up.

1900hrs  After dinner  join the nature guide  in the “hunt” for the lesser animals as in mouse deer, spiders, scorpions, snakes, etc  Next climb an observation hide to watch nocturnal animals come for their salt lick at the man made salt lake.

Return transfer to Kuala Lumpur and drop off hotel 0200hrs.  ( 2 am).  End of program.
