OVERVIEW

Seasonal tour for travellers booked into either the Perhentian or Redang Islands in the East Coast. It embraces a Historical site, City of Kuala Lumpur, the Batu Caves, monkey feeding and fireflies watching.  A cultural show with dinner, Proceed to a Hill resort,a rainforest, and a sleepy village before drop off at the respective Jetties.

Day 1 to 7

What To Expect

DAY 01 (D H ) AIRPORT – HISTORIC MALACCA (UNESCO LISTED) (Drive time approx  2 hours )

Meet and greet at airport and transfer to Historic Malacca (Please look out for airport rep with your name on the placard).  Check in to hotel. Free at leisure.

1900hrs  Dinner and then adjourn to Hard Rock Cafe for a Complimentary drink on us. 

DAY 02 (B L D H ) MALACCA – KUALA LUMPUR (Drive time approx 2 hours)

0800hrs  After breakfast Check out and Malacca tour. 

CHRIST CHURCH 1753 – Oldest Protestant Church now converted to Anglican.

STADTHUYS 1650 – Malacca’s Historic Museum and home of the Dutch Governor.

ST PAUL’S HILL – This chapel was built by the Portuguese and St Francis Xavier did his missionary work from here.

A FAMOSA 1512 – Fort built by the Portuguese and what remains is the gateway.

JONKERS’ STREET – The street of antiquities revealing Malacca’s rich past.

CHENG HOON TENG TEMPLE – The oldest Chinese temple professing 3 doctrines – Taoism, Buddhism and Confucius.

RIVER CRUISE – The river cruise unveils clean embankments with gardens, temples, churches, clan houses, mosques and pollution  free waters.

1400hrs  BABA NYONYA lunch – a signature dish in Malacca – the fusion of Malay and Chinese cuisine. 

1600hrs  Check in to hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Free at leisure. 

1900hrs  Visit CHINATOWN and proceed for MALAYSIAN BUFFET DINNERwith Cultural show.  2200hrs  Good Nite .

DAY 03 (B L D H ) KUALA LUMPUR CITY HIGHLIGHTS 

0900hrs  After breakfast depart for the KUALA LUMPUR TOWER at 421 meters houses the telecoms and the meteorological stations and the revolving restaurant. Catch a bird’s eye view of the city from the observation deck. 

TWIN TOWERS – photo shoot. 

BATU CAVES – Climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu deity who is honored during the Hindu festival of Thaipusam every year. (Ladies must be properly attired to enter the temple),

BATIK DESIGN AND PEWTER FACTORY – A Guided tour of the factory to see how skilled labour churns out exclusive designs on cloth and pewter.

INDEPENDENT SQUARE – Unique Moorish design architecture built by British. This ite venue where the Union Jack was lowered and the Malaysian flag was hoisted on 31 August 1957 – our Independence Day.

OLD RAILWAY STATION – Unique colonial landmarks of Moorish design, built by the British.

KING’S PALACE – Every 5 years a new King is elected. 

1300hrs  After a short walkabout of LITTLE INDIA , Lunch would be on a Banana leaf (eat with fingers). 

Return transfer to hotel. Free at leisure. 

1600hrs  Depart for Bukit Melawati in Kuala Selangor for an evening with the SILVERED LEAF MONKEYS. They will clamber all over you for the food that you have in your hands.

1900hrs Sumptuous seafood dinner at a riverside cafe and then catch a boat to watch FIREFLIES (silence to prevail). It will be a dazzling display of lights as in a Christmas tree. They flash synchronously to attract the opposite sex and it is a mating ritual. 

2030hrs  Depart for Kuala Lumpur arriving approx. 2200hrs.

DAY 04 (B L D H ) KUALA LUMPUR – CAMERON HIGHLANDS (Drive time approx. 4 hours)

0700hrs  After breakfast depart for the Cameron Highlands.

CASCADING WATERFALLS – photo stop. Souvenirs, tribal handicrafts, strange herbs, aphrodisiacs are available at the roadside shops.

1200hrs  Lunch at Tanah Rata and the tour begins :

TEA PLANTATION – This tea plantation allows tourist visits and works hand in hand with the WWF and the MNS in the conservation of our elephants and the Orang Utan. The tea shop sells various teas and part of the proceeds goes towards this noble cause.Factory tour everyday except Mondays and Public Holidays.

BUTTERFLY FARM AND INSECTARIUM – a secret paradise of insects and butterflies.

STRAWBERRY FARM – Pick Strawberries direct from the plant when in season.

VEGETABLE, FRUITS AND FLOWERS MARKET – take a stroll to see a showcase of vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons. 

1700hrs  Check in to hotel. Free at leisure.

1900hrs  Dinner ” HOT POT” – a signature dish in Malacca – a fusion of Malay and Chinese cuisine. This will blend well with the weather. Please bring along sweaters as the nites are cold.  2200hrs  Good Nite .

DAY 05 (B L D H ) CAMERON HIGHLANDS – TAMAN NEGARA (Drive time approx. 4 hours)

0800hrs  Depart for KUALA TAHAN, TAMAN NEGARA. 

1200hrs Lunch at the Floating Cafe and the tour begins ..

CANOPY WALKWAY – The longest Canopy Walkway in South East Asia at 45 meters high and 510 meters long is a chance to view from atop various flora and fauna in their natural habitat. Catch a bird’s eye view of the World’s Oldest Rainforest. 

JUNGLE TREKKING – The experienced nature guide will belt out facts and fancies of the flora and fauna in Taman Negara.  He will let you in to some secrets and taboos of the jungle.  Bring along insect repellants and good walking shoes.

RAPIDS SHOOTING –  A take home thrill as the boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids to give you a “chance” to get wet.  Bring along changing clothes and towel.

ABORIGINE VILLAGE VISIT – The aborigines live environment friendly lives and the rainforest is their supermarket.  See their fire making skills and blowpipe hunting techniques. 

1700hrs  Check in to hotel. Free at leisure. 

1900hrs  Dinner at the floating Cafe followed by

NITE JUNGLE WALK – Animals sighted during the nite walk : mousedeer, insects, spiders, scorpions, snakes, wild boar, owl, panther, tame tapir. Bring along torch light with extra batteries, insect repellants, rain coat to join nature guide in the “hunt” of these lesser animals. 

2200hrs  Return to hotel and good nite ! The Forest Orchestra plays on…..

DAY 06 (B L D H ) TAMAN NEGARA – CHERATING (Drive time approx. 4 hours)

0800hrs  Depart for Cherating.

1200hrs  Local lunch on arrival and visit MAT SALLEH – the coconut plucking monkey who is meticulously trained to rain down coconuts to the beck and call of his master. A feat to watch !  Then visit a turtle sanctuary.

1600hrs  Check in to hotel, Free at leisure. The pool and the South China sea beach beckons.

1900hrs   Local dinner. 2200hrs  Good Nite.

DAY 07 ( B L ) CHERATING – PERHENTIAN or REDANG JETTY drop off ( Drive time approx. 3 hours )

0800hrs  After breakfast, depart for the Jetty of either the Perhentian or Redang Islands for an exotic stay on unspoilt East Coast beaches. We will say Good Bye and have a wonderful holiday. The Chauffeur-Guide will return to Kuala Lumpur. and you will be on your own. End of tour.
