This is a unique seasonal tour for travellers who have already booked either the Perhentian or Redang Islands in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The tour embraces – a Hill Resort, a Rainforest and a Village, a variety of interests before drop off at the correct jetty for the islands.
What to expect
DAY 01 (L D H) KUALA LUMPUR – CAMERON HIGHLANDS (Drive time approx 4 hours )
CAMERON HIGHLANDS is a Hill resort, with temperatures 10 – 25 degrees celcius, is known for its farmlands, tea plantations, orchards, nurseries, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, wildlife, not forgetting the aborigines.
0700hrs Depart for the Cameron Highlands, enroute Bonus stop BATU CAVES and climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu Deity who is honored every year in January or February during the THAIPUSAM festival. Ladies to be properly attired to enter the temple.
CASCADING WATERFALLS – photo shoot. Souvenirs, tribal handicrafts, aphrodisiacs, strange herbs are available at the shops around.
1200hrs Lunch at Cameron Highlands and the tour starts…
TEA PLANTATION – The BOH Tea Plantation covers 8,000 acres and works closely with the World Wildlife Fund and the Malaysian Nature Society in the conservation of our Elephants and Orang Utan. Have a cup of tea fresh from the plantation and enjoy the vast carpet of greenery. The tea shop sells various teas and proceeds from sale goes towards the conservation effort. Factory tour is available everyday except Mondays and Public Holidays.
BUTTERFLY FARM AND INSECTARIUM – a secret paradise where 5,000 butterflies dance on ferns and scented flowers. The landscaped gardens, exotic plants, fresh water turtles and the many insects are a thriller.
STRAWBERRY FARM – Pick fresh strawberry right from the plant when in season .
VEGETABLE, FRUITS AND FLOWERS – Take a stroll to see the showcase of various vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons.
1700hrs Check in to hotel, Free at leisure.
1900hrs Dinner is “HOT POT”–a signature dish of the Camerons. Bring along sweaters as the nites are cold.

DAY 02 (B L D H ) CAMERON HIGHLANDS – TAMAN NEGARA (Drive time approx 4 hours )
TAMAN NEGARA is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest with most threatened mammals as in tigers, elephants, rhinoceros, tapirs, sun bear … 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species, 238 fresh water fish …. Objectives : To protect, conserve and propagate flora and fauna and its eco systems. Landscape: Rivers,Waterfalls, secret caves and mountains, rolling hills and lush greenery.
0800hrs After breakfast depart for KUALA TAHAN, TAMAN NEGARA.
1200hrs After lunch at the Floating Cafe, take a breather.
CANOPY WALKWAY – at 530 meters in length is the longest in South East Asia and a bird’s eye view of a screaming scenery of the World’s Oldest Rainforest awaits in earnest.
JUNGLE TREKKING – The experienced Nature Guide will belt out facts and fancies about flora and fauna and also uncover the secrets of Taman Negara. Please bring along insect repellants and good walking shoes.
You may be lucky if you get to see Monkeys, Flying Fox, Birds… but if you face a tiger, we ain’t sure who is lucky ! Really !!!
RAPIDS SHOOTING –is a take-home thrill, as the boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids, with a “chance” to get wet. Bring along extra changing clothes.
ABORIGINE VILLAGE VISIT – The batek tribe live environment friendly lives with things secret and things taboo. The Rainforest is their Supermarket. An insight of their fire making skills and blowpipe hunting techniques awaits.
1700hrs Check in to hotel. Free at leisure .
1900hrs Dinner at Floating Cafe.
NITE JUNGLE WALK – Observation Hides near wildlife frequented salt lakes is vintage to watch nocturnal animals like sambe deer, tapir come for their salt intake. Bring along insect repellants, good walking shoes, rain coat and torch light with extra batteries to help the Nature Guide in the “hunt” for mouse deer, owls, insects, spiders, snakes and the friendly tapir. You got to be lucky! Recommended dress code: Long Pants and Long sleeved shirt. The rains love the rainforest.
2200hrs Good Nite ! And the forest orchestra plays on…..
DAY 03 (B L D H) TAMAN NEGARA – CHERATING ( Drive time approx 4 hours)
The EAST COAST of PENINSULAR MALAYSIA is a jewel loaded with traditions and customs, arts and crafts, and traditional houses on stilts.
CHERATING is a typical small easy going fishing village dotted with coconut and casuarina trees. Surfing, fishing, river kayaking, snorkeling and etc are available.
Asia’s first Club Med is located here in Cherating.
0800hrs Depart for Cherating. 1200hrs Local Lunch on arrival at Cherating.
MAT SALLEH – the trained macaque meticulously rains down young coconuts to the beck and call of his master. And he is a master plucker of coconuts. A stroll down the village to see other crafts if available. The ambience is easy going and relaxed !
1600hrs Check in to hotel with swimming pool and a beachfront of the South China Sea. Free at leisure.
1900hrs Dinner at CHERATING VILLAGE – the “ikan bakar” – a signature dish or alternatives. 2200hrs Good Nite!
DAY 04 (B ) – CHERATING – PERHENTIAN OR REDANG JETTY DROP OFF (Drive time approx 3 hours)
0800hrs – After breakfast, depart for the jetty and Chauffeur Guide will guide you to the correct jetty and will say goodbye. End of programme.
