What to expect 

DAY 01 – ( L D H) KUALA LUMPUR – TAMAN NEGARA  (Drive time  approx 4 hours )

Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest covering 4,343 sq kilometers and is the home of the most threatened mammals : Tigers, Tapirs, Elephants, Sun Bears not forgetting 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species, 238 fresh water fish and the list is endless.

0700hrs After Breakfast depart for KUALA TAHAN TAMAN NEGARA. Enroute:

Bonus stop BATU CAVES – climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu deity who is honored every year in January or February  for THAIPUSAM – a festival to give him thanks and praise. (Ladies ought to be properly attired to enter the temple).

1100hrs On arrival at Taman Negara, the activities begin….. 

CANOPY WALKWAY – at 530 meters in length is the longest in South East Asia and you will get a bird’s eye view of the World’s Oldest Rainforest. View a screaming scenery of Nature at its unspoilt best ….

JUNGLE TREKKING TO THE TERESEK HILLS – Trekking takes you closer to the different species of flora, The experienced Nature Guide will belt out facts and fancies about Flora and Fauna in Taman Negara, He will uncover the secrets of the Forest. Packed Lunch in the Forest. Bring insect repellants and good walking shoes.

You may be lucky if you get to see the lesser animals like the flying fox, squirrels, monkeys, birds… but if you see a Tiger, we ain’t sure who is lucky !

1300hrs  After lunch at the Floating restaurant,

RAPIDS SHOOTING – is a thrill, as the Boatman negotiates 7 sets of Rapids and you get a “chance” to get wet. Bring along extra clothing.  

ABORIGINE (ORANG ASLI) are of the Batek Tribe who have been living environment-friendly lives. The Rainforest is their Supermarket where they get their life’s necessities. They have things secret and things taboo. You will get an insight of their fire making skills and blowpipe hunting techniques. Come free and easy !

1700hrs Check in to hotel. Freshen up.    

1900hrs Dinner at the Floating Cafe… followed by :  

NITE JUNGLE WALK – Tropical animals are shy and hide. So Observation Hides have been built near Wildlife frequented Salt Licks for YOU to watch from a distance. These nocturnal animals come for their salt intake. Enjoy the Forest Orchestra as the Nature Guide helps to locate animals. Please bring torch light with extra batteries to help the Nature guide in the “hunt”. Dress code: Come in long sleeves and long pants and also bring along rain coat and good walking shoes.

Animals sighted thus far : Mousedeer, Snakes, Wild Boar, Tapir ( a friendly one) Spiders and Insects. Latest: Black Panther up on the tree.  2200hrs Back to hotel. Good Nite and the Forest Orchestra continues playing.

DAY 02 (B L D H ) – TAMAN NEGARA – CAMERON HIGHLANDS  ( Drive time approx. 4 hours)

Cameron Highlands is known for its farmlands, Tea Plantations, Nurseries, Orchards, Lakes,Waterfalls, wildlife, Mossy Forest Golf Courses, Land Rovers, Bungalows,  and etc. not forgetting the Aborigines (Orang Asli). Some of them are still jungle dwellers and some have left for the nearby towns.

0800hrs After Breakfast, check out and depart for Cameron Highlands. 

1300hrs lunch and tour of Cameron Highlands…        

TEA FACTORY & PLANTATION – The BOH Tea Plantation was founded by a British Businessman Mr JA Russel in 1929. Today he owns 3 Tea Estates with a total of 8,000 acres. It is to be noted that BOH works closely with the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) and the MNS (Malaysian Nature Society) in the conservation of our Elephants and Orang Utan. Teas sold are from Green Tea to Flavored teas. Factory tour is available everyday except on Mondays and Public Holidays . 

BUTTERFLY FARM & INSECTARIUM – is a secret Paradise where 5,000 Butterflies dance on ferns and scented flowers. The Landscaped gardens, exotic plants, fresh water turtles and the many insects are a thriller.  

VEGETABLE, FRUITS & FLOWER MARKET – A stroll to see a showcase of  various vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons.  

STRAWBERRY FARM – Handpick fresh strawberries right from the plant.

1600hrs Check in to hotel. Free at leisure.  

1900hrs Dinner is “HOT POT” – a signature dish in the Camerons blending with the cool weather. You will know this dish only when you follow us in this tour. So come join us. Bring along sweaters as the Nites are cold.

DAY 03 (B L H) CAMERON HIGHLANDS – PENANG ISLAND  ( Drive time approx. 4 hours)      

The Island of PENANG was founded by Sir Francis Light in 1786 and he first landed at Fort Cornwallis. Penang is known as the “Pearl of the Orient” and is one of the most beautiful touristic locations in Malaysia. There are loads of activities and sights. Be also “warned”  that Penang is a food haven. The Batu Feringghi belt where your hotel is situated is the most popular place to be in when in Penang.                     

0800hrs After Breakfast check out and depart for PENANG ISLAND . 

1200hrs On arrival at Penang Island, lunch  in Georgetown and check in to hotel. Free at leisure. The beach and the swimming pool beckons. 

DAY 04 ( B ) PENANG ISLAND       

0800hrs  After breakfast depart for half day Penang City tour.

 GEORGETOWN – 07 July 2008 bestowed UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE status. Georgetown got its name from Britain’s King George III. It is a Multi Cultural Heritage & Trading Port. It was founded by Sir Francis Light in 1786. He first landed at Fort Cornwallis.  

THE TRISHAW RIDE  is a good way to see the sights and sounds of Georgetown.  

FORT CORNWALLIS This Fort was built by Sir Francis Light. He used Convict labour and the Fort was built as a defense facility against pirates and other enemies. It got its name from the British Governor of Bengal. A drive past.   

KHOO KONGSI – The Khoo Kongsi Temple is the largest of the Khoo Clan Association. The Straits Khoos were very wealthy business people who built the Temple to cater for the educational and financial needs of the Clan.  

THE CLAN JETTY – comprises of wooden houses on stilts and planked walkway built over water – a picturesque fishing village. A walkabout is included.

THE RECLINING BUDDHA  is 33 meters in length and was built in 1845 by the Thai Community who live within the vicinity. You have to remove shoes when entering the temple.  

1200hrs  Return to hotel for drop off. End of tour. Guest to make own arrangements for onward stay.
