Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest – home to endangered mammals as in Tigers, Tapirs, Elephants, sun bears and the list is endless… 14,000 flowering plants, 238 fish species and 300 bird species….

Objectives : To protect conserve and propagate flora and fauna and its ecosystems of rivers, waterfalls, secret caves, mountains, rolling hills and lush greenery.

Cameron Highlands is a hill resort perched 1,500 meters above sea level with temperatures 10 – 25 degrees celcius . It was discovered by a British Surveyor Sir William Cameron in 1885, It is known for its farmlands, tea plantations, orchards, nurseries, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, wildlife and aborigines.

DAY 01  (L D H ) KUALA LUMPUR – TAMAN NEGARA with LATA BERKOH ( Drive time 4 hours)

0700hrs After breakfast depart for Taman negara. 1100hrs  On arrival activities begin.. CANOPY WALKWAY – the longest Canopy Walkway in South East Asia at 45 meters in height and 510 meters in length  where you will get a bird’s eye view of the world’s oldest rainforest. JUNGLE TREKKING AND HILL HIKING –  The experienced Nature Guide will belt out facts and fancies of the various flora and fauna in Taman Negara during the 2 hours trekking. Bring along insect repellents, good walking shoes.  1300hrs  Lunch at Floating cafe  and continue with RAPIDS SHOOTING – a take home thrill as the boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids and you will get a “chance” to get wet. Bring along changing clothes and towels. We will arrive at the ABORIGINE VILLAGE for a visit. The indigenous people are environment-friendly and the rainforest is their supermarket.    Watch their fire making skills and their blowpipe hunting skills.  They are super.

Then catch a special Forestry boat for the Cascading Waterfalls (LATA BERKOH) – a restricted area). The 45 minutes ride through scenic, mesmerizing calming effect scenery is awesome.   1800hrs  Check in to hotel. Free at leisure.  1900hrs  Dinner at the Floating Cafe. Proceed for the NITE JUNGLE WALK (silence to prevail!)… Bring along torch light with extra batteries, insect repellents, to join the Nature Guide in the “hunt” for the lesser animals as in Mouse deer, owls, spiders, scorpions, snakes, insects and etc. A tapir comes over once in a while for food. Then climb a flight of stars into the Observation deck to watch nocturnal animals come for their salt intake from the man made salt licks.              2200hrs  Return to hotel. Good Nite and the forest orchestra plays on…..


0800hrs  After breakfast depart for the Cameron Highlands. 1200hrs  On arrival Lunch and the tour starts….  BUTTERFLY FARM AND INSECTARIUM – a secret paradise of butterflies and insects.  STRAWBERRY FARM – Pick fresh strawberries right from the plant. VEGETABLE, FRUITS & FLOWERS MARKET – Take stroll to see on display a showcase of various vegetables, flowers and fruits grown in the Camerons.  1700hrs  Check in to hotel. Free at leisure.  1900hrs  Dinner is ‘HOT POT” – a signature dish in the Camerons and goes well with the cool weather. Bring along sweaters as the nites are cold.   2200hrs  Good Nite.

 DAY 03  (B L ) CAMERON HIGHLANDS – KUALA LUMPUR with BATU CAVES  (Drive time 4 hours).

0800hrs  After breakfast catch a 4 wheel drive for the MOSSY FOREST tour, cruising along rolling hills to Mount Brinchang. The cool walk will reveal some unique flora as in carnivorous pitcher plants, primitive ferns, medicinal and poisonous plants. The BOH TEA PLANTATION allows tourists visits and works hand in hand with the WWF in the conservation of our Elephants and the Orang Utan. The tea cafe sells various teas and part of the proceeds goes towards this conservation effort. A noble deed indeed !

1300hrs  Lunch. freshen up and depart for Kuala Lumpur Enroute visit the famous BATU CAVES and climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu Deity who is honored during the Hindu festival of Thaipusam every year in January or February.  (Ladies to be properly attired to enter the temple).   1800hrs  Drop off at your hotel in Kuala Lumpur. End of tour.
