Overview : This tour covers a hill resort CAMERON HIGHLANDS and the oldest rainforest TAMAN NEGARA with 2 bonus stops the famous BATU CAVES and the ELEPHANT CONSERVATION CENTER.

Cameron Highlands is a hill resort with temperatures from 10 – 25 degrees celcius is about 1,500 meters above sea level. It was discovered by a British Surveyor Sir William Cameron in 1885 and is known for its farmlands, tea plantations, nurseries, orchards, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, wildlife not forgetting the Aborigines.

CASCADING WATERFALLS photo shoot. Souvenirs, tribal handicrafts, strange herbs, aphrodisiacs available at the shops.
1200 hrs After lunch visit TEA PLANTATION which allows tourist visits and works hand in hand with the WWF and the MNS in the conservation of our endangered Elephants and the Orang Utan. The tea shop sells various teas and part of the proceeds goes towards this conservation effort. A noble deed indeed!
BUTTERFLY FARM – a secret Paradise of butterflies and insects. Farm tour specially arranged for you. Hand pick fresh strawberries and then take a stroll to the vegetable market to see the various produce of the Camerons. 1700hrs Check in to hotel. Free at leisure.
1900hrs Dinner “HOT POT” – a signature dish in the Camerons and it blends well with the cool weather. 2200hrs Good Nite.
Day 02 (B L D H) CAMERON HIGHLANDS – TAMAN NEGARA (Drive time approx. 4 hours )
Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest with the most threatened mammals as in Tigers, Tapirs, Rhinoceros, Sun Bears … not forgetting the 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species, 238 fresh water fish and the list is endless. Objectives: To protect, conserve and propagate flora and fauna and its eco systems of rivers, waterfalls, secret caves, mountains rolling hills and lush greenery.
0800hrs Depart for KUALA TAHAN TAMAN NEGARA.
1200hrs Lunch on arrival at the Floating Restaurant and activities begin. Please come ready for the activities.
CANOPY WALKWAY The longest Canopy walkway in South East Asia at 45 meters high and 510 meters long is a chance to view from atop various flora and fauna in their natural habitat. Catch a bird’s eye view of the world’s oldest Rainforest.
JUNGLE TREKKING The Experienced Nature Guide will belt out facts and fancies of the flora and fauna in Taman Negara. Bring along insect repellants, comfortable walking shoes.

RAPIDS SHOOTING A take-home thrill as the boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids to give you a “ chance “to get wet. Bring along changing clothes and towel.
ABORIGINE VILLAGE (ORANG ASLI) VISIT The aborigines live environment-friendly lives and the Rainforest is their Supermarket. They get all their life’s needs from the Rainforest. See their fire making skills and blowpipe hunting techniques. They have things taboo and things secret.
1700hrs Check in to hotel. Freshen up. Free and easy. 1900hrs Dinner at the Floating Café followed by :
NITE JUNGLE WALK Animals sighted during nite walks – mouse deer, insects, spiders, scorpions, wild boar, Owl and a tame tapir that comes along once in a while. Bring along torchlight with extra batteries, rain coat, insect repellents to join Nature Guide and help him in the “hunt” for these friendly animals that forage for food at nite. You are advised to make a count of your animal sightings to compare notes with the guide. Climb an Observation Hide to watch nocturnal animals come for their salt intake at the man made salt lick. 2200hrs Good Nite and the Forest Orchestra plays on.
Day 03 (B L ) TAMAN NEGARA–KUALA LUMPUR (Drive time approx 4 hours) 0900hrs Depart for the ELEPHANT CONSERVATION CENTER . The Malaysian Elephants are an endangered species. Due to poaching and elephant rampage, a center was set up in 1989 to protect and trans locate rogue as well as orphaned elephants.
1200hrs After lunch feed and feel the orphaned elephants, watch video on elephant capture and translocation and continue the journey, enroute bonus stop BATU CAVES. Climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu Deity Lord Murugan who is honored during the Hindu Festival of Thaipusam every year. The 140 feet Statue is mesmerizing. (Ladies must be properly attired to enter the temple). Proceed for a complimentary food tasting of Malaysian cuisine before drop off at your hotel. End of program.
